About Ashton Addison

Founder and CEO of BlockWest Media and host of Crypto Coin Show, the longest-running interview series in blockchain.

Ashton started interviewing blockchain founders in 2014, when the industry was small enough that most of them would pick up the phone. That series became Crypto Coin Show, now the longest-running interview show in the space with more than 1,500 episodes, 150,000+ YouTube subscribers and syndication to institutional audiences through Refinitiv TV and the London Stock Exchange.

In 2026 he launched BlockWest Media as the parent company, widening the lens from crypto to the full picture of blockchain, digital assets and AI, and the way those three are converging in tokenized markets, stablecoin settlement and machine-to-machine economies. Crypto Coin Show continues as the flagship interview brand underneath it.

Along the way he has been a seed investor and strategic partner to early-stage protocols, delivered keynotes in ten countries, and was named Best Interview Show at the Web3 Influencer Awards in 2022 and 2025. He holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting, which is why his interviews tend to drift toward unit economics and how the thing actually makes money.

On the interviews

Every Crypto Coin Show interview is a conversation with the person who built the thing. Guests get the hard question about adoption, tokenomics or regulation on camera, and the audience gets a primary source instead of a recap. That is why founders come back: several have appeared four or five times across a project’s life, from testnet to listing to the pivot nobody announced.

The aim is simple: get founders to explain their work clearly enough that viewers can make up their own minds, and keep that record somewhere permanent. Every episode lives on its own page on cryptocoinshow.com with show notes, chapters and a written version, alongside news coverage on BlockWest.
